Milling and drilling

Milling is a permanent element of machining all kinds of planes, grooves, shaped surfaces or toothing. There are several techniques, they can be divided due to the arrangement of the blades – cylindrical and shaped milling techniques. In the machining of soft, low carbon steels, the main problems is edge build-up and burr formation. When machining harder types of steel, it becomes important to position the cutter to avoid edge chipping.

In our machinery we have a milling and drilling machine which is used in the processing of small elements. The advantages of the machine are mechanical feeds in the X and Y axes, as well as the ability to work as a vertical or horizontal milling machine. Stable base made of high-quality cast iron.

Steel milling

The main problem during machining soft, low carbon steels is the formation of edges and burrs. With harder steel grades, it becomes important to position the cutter to avoid edge chipping. Always follow the recommendations when milling steel, such as positioning the cutter to avoid thick chips on the edge of the material, and always consider dry running without coolant, especially when roughing. We work on materials such as: stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and hardened steel.
